The flagship of the Shangri-La chain’s next generation of modern luxury hotels, situated at the Jing An Kerry Centre in West Shanghai.

Inspired by its location on Nanjing Road, famous for its luxury fashion boutiques, elements of fashion were incorporated into the elegant, contemporary design. "Perhaps one of the most spectacular aspects at the Jing-An Shangri-La is the inspired international art collection” said Sandra Cortner, Associate at HBA in their press release announcing the project.
ArtLink’s art consultants worked with Canvas and HBA Atlanta to put together the impressive art collection for the hotel of more than 200 contemporary art pieces, including commissions by Chinese as well as international artists. The selected works all reference China’s rich cultural heritage and include contemporary pieces in oil, acrylic, graphite and ink as well as photography, textile art, ceramic objects and sculptures.
