Vanessa Montiel, b. 1970
Born in Mexico City, Vanessa earned her BFA in ceramics from the California College of Arts and Crafts. She has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in galleries throughout California. She received the California Arts Council for the Artist in Residency Grant as well as project grants from the Parker Foundation and the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz.
