Stephanie Bird, b. 1960
Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Stephanie earned her BFA at the Tyler School of Art and her MFA at the University of California at San Diego. Since 1982 her work has appeared in numerous group and solo exhibitions and has received the Illinois Gallery Purchase Award as well as the Jurors Award at the women's Work 6 exhibition in N.Y. Her first solo exhibition was in 1991. In 1993 she was awarded a Fullbright Scholar
