Amy Snyder
Amy Snyder, b. 1962
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Amy received a BA in German from the University of Michigan and her MFA in photography from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. Amy's photographs have been published in numerous national publications including the Los Angeles Times, the Christian Science Monitor and the Boston Globe. For the past five years, Amy has been the photographer at the Exploratorium, an internationally known museum of science, art and human perception in San Francisco. Amy has taught in the undergraduate program at the California College of Arts and Crafts. In addition,Amy has been doing a series of workshops with youngsters on probation, as part of a larger project that will culminate in a combined performance of youth and police.
